Inside Line Promotions – LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Nov. 7, 2019) – X-1 Race Cars Founder Ryan Linder recently teamed up with Brock Zearfoss, who ran Linder’s sprint car during a couple of races at the end of the season in Central Pennsylvania and will now be running his own X-1 Race Cars chassis at the famed Can-Am World Finals this week.
“We ran Ryan’s car for the first time on Oct. 12 at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, Pa.,” Zearfoss said. “We had a pretty good run there. We started and finished third in our heat race. In the A Main, we started sixth and finished fourth.”
Zearfoss drove Linder’s car again on Oct. 19 at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa. He had a good night going until he was involved in a wreck in the feature. Thankfully there was only minor damage and he brought home a 17th-place finish.
“Since there wasn’t a lot of damage from our wreck at Port Royal we were able to race there again when the Outlaws came to town on Oct. 25,” Zearfoss said. “We qualified third in our flight, started on the pole of our heat and won it.”
His heat race finish earned him a spot in the second dash. Zearfoss started third and finished fourth. He ended the night in the 24th position.
“Overall, we had a really good experience running Linder’s car,” Zearfoss said. “With his cars you can see just how good the craftsmanship of them are and they feel good when you’re racing them. We got our own X-1 Race Car for this weekend at the World Finals and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish with it.”
The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series World Finals runs Thursday through Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C.
“Brock had good success in our car recently and I’m excited to see his team decide to work with X-1 Race Cars moving forward,” Linder said. “We wish him the best of luck at World Finals.”
