LASOSKI HAULS TO ILLINOIS ONLY TO GET RAINED OUT

Inside Line Promotions – HIGGINSVILLE, Mo. (May 15) – Danny Lasoski had a lot of seat time last weekend, but it wasn’t in his sprint car.

The veteran drove almost five hours to the Midwest Open Wheel Association’s event at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., on Friday before the race was rained out.

“We got hot laps in … just enough to get the car muddy,” Lasoski joked. “It didn’t even rain hard. It just drizzled enough. You couldn’t race like it like that.”

It was the second weekend this season that Lasoski made a long haul to a track only to be rained out before the competition started.

“It was going to be a great nice of racing,” he said. “You’re just danged if you do and danged if you don’t.”

More than 30 sprint cars were on hand before race was called.

Lasoski claimed the MOWA opener on April 23 at 34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa.

He also planned on racing Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa – where he’s the winningest driver. However, that was also rained out.
