Many of the premier sprint car drivers in the country are expected to tackle the marquee event, which also features a battle to claim the series championship. Sam Hafertepe Jr. enters with an 86-point advantage over Blake Hahn in the championship standings.
Roger Crockett has an 81-point edge over Matt Covington for third place in the standings with John Carney II only 73 points behind Covington. Scott Bogucki trails Carney II by 22 points for fifth in the standings.
A trio of drivers are in contention for seventh in the standings with Harli White leading Robbie Price by only 10 points. Jordon Mallett is 56 points behind Price.
Hafertepe Jr. has won four of the 11 event races dating back to the first edition in 2012. Only Seth Bergman and Jason Johnson also have multiple event wins at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track as Bergman has a trio of victories and Johnson claimed the first two races. Aaron Reutzel and Brady Bacon – the most recent winner – have also been victorious.
