Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team Produces Pair of Top Fives During USAC World Championship Series iRacing Event at Williams Grove

Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (Oct. 24, 2019) – Adam Elby and Cole Cabre captured top-five finishes for the Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team on Wednesday when the USAC World Championship Series visited Williams Grove Speedway for Round 7 of the iRacing series.

Elby charged from 14th to a third-place outing.

“We set our car up for the bottom,” Elby said during a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “We wanted to be able to go anywhere, but we knew the bottom would be a safe bet. We figured most people were going to run up top. If you can try to go where other people aren’t that’s the best way to pass some cars. It worked out pretty well.”

Cabre advanced a trio of positions to post a fifth-place result.

“I really don’t like running the bottom so I was hoping not to,” he said during a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “I kinda figured it was going to go down there. Once enough cars started running it we would end up running back up top. It was like running on ice. You had to have a lot of throttle control. It was really hard trying to find that perfect line around the bottom. With the guys that fast you have to hit it perfect every lap.”

Teammates Rusty Kruger, James Edens and Blake Cannon placed 13th, 18th and 19th, respectively.

Edens ranks third in the championship standings with Cabre fourth. Elby has climbed to ninth in the standings.

The next USAC World Championship Series race is Wednesday at Limaland Motorsports Park.
