Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Oct. 16, 2019) – Jack Dover is making his first trek to Texas since 2014 this weekend for the 46th annual Winter Nationals hosted by Devil’s Bowl Speedway.

Dover will pilot his No. 53 on Friday and Saturday at the half-mile oval in Mesquite, Texas, during the marquee Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event.

“We’ve won the Winter Nationals before,” he said. “It’s a fun way to end the year and the track is a fun place to run at so we look forward to this trip.”

It’s approximately a 10-hour drive each way, but the trip has yielded good results for Dover. He captured a top 10 during the 2014 Winter Nationals, a top five in 2013, top 10s in 2012 and 2011, and the title in 2010 among other stout results at the track.

“Devil’s Bowl gives you a little bit of a challenge,” he said. “(Turns) one and two are different than turns three and four. You have to compensate for the car being tight in one corner and free in the other. I’m feeling pretty confident. We ran well with the ASCS National Tour drivers at Lucas Oil Speedway last month and we learned a lot. We were really competitive there and we’ve been competitive in the past at Devil’s Bowl.”

Dover enters the weekend with nine feature victories this season. He has recorded double-digit wins during six of the last seven seasons prior to 2019.
