Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (Oct. 16, 2019) – The season is winding down for Joe Trenca, who has a pair of 360ci winged sprint car races on tap this weekend.
“That may be it for the year,” the Mucci Motorsports driver noted. “There’s a couple of other races we might be able to do, but it’ll depend on the weather. We’ll see how this weekend goes and go from there.”
The action begins on Friday at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., before shifting to Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa., on Saturday.
“We’re going there to win,” Trenca said of Outlaw Speedway, where he has a pair of victories this season. “It’s another big race. It’d be a good show to win and I think we’re more than capable of it. A good starting position will be key.
“I’m excited to get back to Port Royal, too. I’ve never ran there in a 360. With a lot of cars there hopefully the track will slick off. That’s what we’re getting better at this year. Port Royal is one of the best facilities around and the staff is great so we always look forward to racing there.”
Trenca has already set new season-best marks for wins, top fives and top 10s in a year during his 2019 campaign.
