Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (Oct. 10, 2019) – James Edens powered the Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team to its first USAC World Championship Series feature victory of the season on iRacing on Wednesday at Knoxville Raceway.

Edens led the first lap before falling to third on Lap 2. He then shifted to the bottom lane and regained the runner-up spot before using the top groove to rocket into the lead on Lap 14. Toward the final stage of the 30-lap feature Edens focused on the bottom groove in turns one and two and the top in turns three and four to earn the triumph by 0.488 of a second.

“It definitely wasn’t easy,” he said during a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “The line changed quite a bit there throughout the race. That’s one of the problems with leading. You never know when it changes or where it changes, too.”

The strong performance vaulted Edens to the runner-up position in the championship standings at the mid-point of the nine-race season.

Teammate Chase Cabre garnered his best outing of the season with a fourth-place result. Fellow Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team drivers Cole Cabre and Colton Hardy finished 11th and 16th, respectively.

Cole Cabre is third in the championship standings – only five points behind Edens.

The next USAC World Championship Series race is Wednesday at Kokomo Speedway.
