Take Three in Tulare

After falling victim to Mother Nature just one week ago, Andy Gregg and his Bret Ervin Racing team will resume action with the Golden State King of the West Series Saturday night as the series makes their second stop at the racy 1/3 mile bull ring for the Pombo/Sargent Classic, while this marks the third venture to the track for Gregg and company.

After getting caught up in a wreck and spinning out in the season opener with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, and finishing 14th just one month ago with the KWS, Gregg looks to keep his string of top five finishes running.

“Last time we were down there we missed it a little bit qualifying and really set us back all night,” said Gregg. “We started deep in the feature and the track took rubber, and passing was super tough.”

After grabbing a fifth place finish in Watsonville, Gregg followed it up by snagging third aboard his 7 Industries/Ervin Sales Group/Eagle at Marysville Raceway Park. Gregg kept up the momentum by timing in with the second quickest lap of the 33 car field at the Bradway last week before rain washed the race out.

“We’ve defiantly been strong the last few weeks and am hopeful we can keep it up this weekend in Tulare,” added Gregg.

Racing is slated to kick off at 6:30 Saturday night with the front gates opening at 5:00 pm.
