Bacon Takes on USAC Sprint Cars at Lawrenceburg after Four Crown Triumph

Lonnie Wheatley, WINCHESTER, Ind. (October 5, 2019) – Brady Bacon finished out last weekend’s “Four Crown Nationals” at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway on top of the heap with a USAC Silver Crown triumph that delivered the entrant championship to the Klatt Enterprises No. 6 team.

He’ll try to carry that momentum into Saturday night’s “Fall Nationals” at Lawrenceburg Speedway as the USAC National Sprint Car series continues action.

Last week’s racing action including four different events in three different cars including the BBR Racing No. 99 winged 410-ci Sprint Car, the Hoffman Racing / Mean Green No. 69 non-wing USAC Sprint Car and the Klatt Enterprises No. 6 Silver Crown machine.

Bacon broke out the BBR No. 99 for a pair of winged Sprint Car events at Eldora Speedway, racing into both Friday’s World of Outlaws and Saturday’s All Star Circuit of Champions features with an 11th place showing in Saturday’s season-ender for the All Stars his top winged result.

Bacon saved the best of the weekend for last by battling into the lead in the latter stages of the USAC Silver Crown portion of Saturday’s “Four Crown Nationals” at Eldora for his second series win of the year and the owner-clinching title.

“We kind of struggled and everything else, so it was good to get a win here and get an owner’s championship for these guys,” Bacon said. “They worked hard to make huge improvements over the last year and we won two races this year. We were in the hunt every time. I’m really happy for them, and hopefully, we can keep winning these races the next few years.”

Bacon’s USAC Sprint Car outings in the No. 69 car netted another pair of top-ten runs including a seventh-place run at Indiana’s Gas City I-69 Speedway on Thursday and then a fifth-place showing in Saturday’s “Four Crown” portion at Eldora.

With the pair of USAC Sprint Car top-tens last weekend, “The Macho Man” has now finished among the top-ten in 24 of the series’ last 25 events with four series wins over the course of the season and enters Saturday’s card at Lawrenceburg tied for fifth in points.

After a runner-up finish in last year’s “Fall Nationals” at Lawrenceburg, Bacon looks to continue that run of top-ten showings and potentially add to his overall total of ten wins thus far in 2019.
