Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (Sept. 26, 2019) – Cole Cabre captured the best finish of the season for the Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team on Wednesday when he recorded a runner-up result during Round 3 of the USAC World Championship Series at Limaland Motorsports Park.

Cabre qualified well and won a heat race to put himself in a great position entering the main event. His second-place showing also moved him up to second in the championship standings.

“I was trying to put a feature together,” he said during a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “I was finally able to put it where I needed to. Unfortunately not the top spot, but way closer than the past few weeks.

“(The track) was super rubbered off up top. It definitely got worse through the race. I adjusted the shocks a little bit and did some stuff before trying to help it. I have to give it up to my SpeedLab guys for helping so much with these setups. You had to be really calm on the throttle. Slower is faster definitely paid off.”

Teammate Blake Cannon also posted a top 10 with a ninth-place run. Rusty Kruger advanced to 12th with James Edens 18th and Adam Elby 19th.

Round 4 of the USAC World Championship Series is next Wednesday at Eldora Speedway.
