Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Sept. 17, 2019) – Jack Dover is heading to Missouri this weekend to tackle the Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial.
Dover is slated to make his final three starts of the season driving for Rick and Chris Bowers during the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland this Thursday through Saturday.
“We always find a way to get in the A Main the final night during the event,” Dover said. “The car owner looked through past results and there’s only a handful of drivers who have made each A Feature the last few years and we’re one of them so that’s saying something.”
Dover has recorded at least one top 10 each year he’s competed in the event – he didn’t race it in 2013 and 2015 – with a handful of fourth-place finishes marking his best result at the track.
“We learned a lot from the chassis dyno (a couple of weeks ago) that we can transfer to the car so that will help,” he said. “We took my bars and shocks with us to Jackson earlier this month and we had some good runs. We’ll take those notes and transfer them to Wheatland and I think we should have a pretty good result.”
Dover enters the action fresh off his ninth feature victory of the season. He has won at least nine main events during 11 of the last 12 years.
The goal is to pick up his first career triumph at Lucas Oil Speedway, which would push his win total to double digits. Dover has scored at least 10 victories in a single season eight different times, including during six of the last seven years.
