Inside Line Promotions – OHSWEKEN, Ontario, Canada (Sept. 10, 2019) – Alex Hill is looking forward to one of the biggest races of the year as she’s set to tackle this weekend’s 15th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at Ohsweken Speedway.
“I’m always excited about racing the Sprint Car Nationals at Ohsweken,” she said. “It’s the biggest sprint car race in Canada and at my home track, which is where I have the most experience racing. It’s nice to have a chance to race at home and in front a lot of our fans.
“Since it’s such a big event, the competition will be tough, too. We’ve improved at most of the tracks we’ve raced at this year and we hope we can do the same at Ohsweken.”
Hill and her team were able to have one final tune-up for the big event last Friday at Ohsweken Speedway. She placed sixth in a heat race before advancing from 18th to 16th in the A Main.
“We didn’t have the best night,” she said. “I didn’t get a good start in the heat race and we missed the setup.
“We tried some new stuff in the feature and it didn’t work so it was better we tried it last week than this weekend. We know what works from before so we’ll go on from there.”
