Silver Dollar Speedway – Saturday May 7 “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial”
What:
The 21st annual Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial is on tap this Saturday for the Golden State King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. The event is considered the biggest of the season for the series with special awards and extra money on the line all night. The evening will be capped with a big 40-lap main event.
Dave and Diane Durica have once again collected lap money and each lap of the A-main and Last Chance Qualifier will pay $100 to be distributed among the top three each lap. The leader of the lap gets $50, second $30 and third $20.
Sponsoring the heat races for the ninth consecutive season will be the fan group known as Hoserville. Each heat race winner will stop on the front stretch to be interviewed and will receive a right rear tire & five sleeves of tear offs. Each driver will also receive a trophy to hand out to a kid in the stands.
When:
The pit gate will open at 3pm with the front grandstand gate opening at 5 and racing beginning around 7.

Tickets:
Adult tickets will cost $20, juniors 12-15 will be $14, children 6-11 are $12 and kids five and under will be free.
About the track:
The Silver Dollar Speedway is a high-banked quarter-mile clay oval and is considered one of the most famous dirt tracks in the country. Each September the facility plays host to the famed Gold Cup Race of Champions that brings world-wide attention to the track. The all-time Golden State KWS 410 track record at SDS was set by Jonathan Allard on May 9, 2009 at a time of 11.119 seconds.
Last May at Silver Dollar Speedway:
Bixby, Oklahoma’s Shane Stewart made a rare Golden State 410 start pay off by racing to victory at the Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial and brought home $5700 for his efforts in Paul Silva’s No. 57 mount. Eventual series champion Kyle Larson came home in second, with Bud Kaeding charging from 13th to third, Chico’s Jonathan Allard finished fourth and Grass Valley’s Jason Statler completed the top-five.
