Jack Dover lapped up to third place in Friday’s dominating performance to take the season title with the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series.
Dover was the night’s top qualifier and pulled the pole position for the 25 lap event. The Springfield, Nebraska, racing fought off a hard challenge from Lee Grosz on the initial laps. Behind Dover and Grosz was Ryan Bickett, Eric Lutz and Justin Jacobsma.
In the Tri-State Late Models – Gary Brown Jr. had a big task ahead of him. The defending series champion started 19th on the grid and needed to pass pole-sitter Nate Beyenhof to claim the series title.
It was a restart at the midpoint of the 20-lapper when Brown ripped the top side from ninth and into the top five, just a few laps later, he challenged and passed Beyenhof for the second position. Tad Pospisil would lead 17 laps to get his third H&H Mobile Home Service feature win of the year. Brown crossed second to claim the title ahead of Beyenhof, Jordan Heiman and Brad Vogt.
The 2019 points season is now complete for both the MSTS and Tri-State Late Models competitors.
