Bryan Hulbert – QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. (September 6, 2019) The Summer Break is over, and racing is back for the San Tan Ford ASCS Desert Non-Wing Series with races slated for Saturday, September 7 at Queen Creek’s Arizona Speedway.
Presented by East Valley Tire, the night will also include SWDRA Late Models, Dwarf Cars, and Robert Horne Ford Bombers.
Going into the season’s 12th round of competition, the 2019 championship is still very much up for grabs with the Shipley family sitting atop the tour standings.
Joshua Shipley, at three wins, nine top fives, and 10 top tens, holds a 28 point advantage over Kyle Shipley who has two victories, eight top fives, and 10 top tens. Joe Scheopner holds third in tour standings with Ronald Webster and Bruce St. James completing the top five. Looking back through the rest of the top ten, Dennis Gile holds sixth with Tyler Most in seventh. Rick Shuman, Asa Kesterson, and Dustin Cormany made up the top ten.
Saturday, September 7 opens at 5:30 P.M. (MT) with racing getting underway at 7:30 P.M. (MT). Admission is $18 for adults with Seniors only $15. Kids 11 and under get in the grandstands for free.
