ASCS Southwest Region Ready For Inaugural Visit To Vado Speedway Park

Bryan Hulbert – VADO, N.M. (August 27, 2019) Getting back to action after taking time off during the hottest stretch of the Summer, the ASCS Southwest Region hits the clay this Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 at Vado Speedway Park.

A short drive south of Las Cruces, N.M. on I-10, the three-eighths-mile oval still has the new dirt track smell as it’s only been in operation since June 14, 2019.

The only visit to the New Mexico oval, this Labor Day Weekend’s events represent rounds nine and ten on the 2019 season, which is being led by Eric Wilkins by 16 markers over Colton Hardy and 19 over J.T. Imperial. Billy Chester sits fourth with Jesse Baker fifth, only 75 points removed from the lead. A close game by any measure, for several in the ASCS Southwest Region, this weekend will be their first trip to Vado Speedway Park.

The weekend card will also include Miller Horse Farms USRA Stock Cars, American Documents & Dent Works Super Trucks, RacerWebsite.com Claimers.

Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 at Vado Speedway Park opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing getting underway at 7:45 P.M. (MT). Admission is $15 for adults each night with youth 6-11 admitted for $5. Kids five and under get in free. Pit Passes each night are $35.
