ASCS Elite Non-Wing Back In Action Saturday At 82 Speedway

Bryan Hulbert – PETTY, Texas (August 21, 2019) After a small break, the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating returns to action on Saturday, August 24 at 82-Speedway in Petty, Texas. The only appearance at the quarter-mile oval in 2019, this Saturday’s event is the 16th round of competition and 15th worth points on the season.

Going into events at 82 Speedway, wily veteran Paul White leads the series by a comfortable 216-point margin with a single win, 10 top-five, and a dozen top-ten finishes, White’s closest challenger for the 2019 season championship is Jarrod Jennings with Michelle Melton closing in to contend for the runner-up spot with the margin only nine markers between the two. Chase Parson and Justin Fifield make up the top five in tour standings.

A long-awaited return to 82 Speedway, Mother Nature has kept the series absent since the series debut season. Patrick Stasa picked up the win on June 27, 2015.

Saturday, August 24 at 82 Speedway opens at 5:00 P.M. with cars on track at 7:45 P.M. (CT). Grandstand admission Adults is $15 (ages 12-64), $12 for Senior and Military. Youth 6-11 is admitted for $5. Pit Passes are $30.

The night’s lineup of action also includes Economy Modifieds, Economy Stocks, Texas Stocks, Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and Texas Winged Modifieds. 82 Speedway is located at 16369 US Hwy 82.
