The Mark Howard Modified Nationals is one of the oldest events in the modern era of CGS. It began in 2003 and has only been entirely washed away, in 2006. 2013 saw the introduction of the Race of Champions held on the Friday before the finale. Jesse Williamson leads the win list with six victories while Jon DeBenedetti is a four-time victor. Collen Winebarger, Mark Carrell, Dustin Cady, and inaugural winner Rick Zuvich have visited victory lane on just one occasion.

In 2019, Collen Winebarger leads the local Mohawk Metal IMCA Modified win count with four main event wins. Bricen James has bested the field on three occasions while Jake Mayden has done so twice. Single race winners include Jesse Williamson, Kevin Williamson, Nick Trenchard, Mark Carrell, Derick Young, Eric Ashley, and Kellen Chadwick.

In the 360 Sprint scene, Jason Solwold is the only driver to have conquered the competition twice. The long list of single race victors includes Justyn Cox, Mitchell Faccinto, Jake Wheeler, Tony Gualda, Kyle Hirst, and Seth Bergman.

In IMCA Sport Modified competition, Matt Sanders has been tough to beat as he has accrued four victories. However, Braedon Hand has scored three main event trophies this season. Jorddon Braaten, David Schmidt, and Gavin Ropchan are all two-time winners in the division while Buddy McHargue and Skyler Winebarger have done so one occasion each.
