MYERSTOWN, Pa. (August 19, 2019) - Although the recent weekend was ultimately cut short due to Mother Nature’s wrath, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks made the most of his visit to North Dakota and scored a 12th place finish with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at River Cities Speedway, advancing three spots after starting 15th on the feature grid.
Brent Marks was scheduled to visit Red River Valley Speedway on Saturday, August 17, but wet weather proved to be too much for the Greatest Show On Dirt.
“River Cities is a fun place to race,” Brent Marks said, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “We have a long trip west ahead of us. I’m excited to see how things unfold for our team.”
Brent Marks will continue his third, full year on the road with the World of Outlaws this Friday and Saturday with a doubleheader weekend headlined in South Dakota and Montana. Marks will visit Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, South Dakota, on Friday, August 23, followed by a stop at Big Sky Speedway in Shepherd, Montana, on Saturday, August 24.
Marks is currently tenth in the World of Outlaws championship standings, padded by 15 top-ten performances, as well as a Knoxville Nationals A-Main start.
