Jackson Motorplex Features Glenn Gillund Night During Special Saturday Show

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (Aug. 12, 2019) – Jackson Motorplex resumes action this Saturday as there are only a half dozen shows remaining this season.

The 4/10-mile oval hosts Glenn Gillund Night presented by Gillund Enterprises featuring the DeKalb/Asgrow presents the Midwest Power Series and Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 sprint cars, Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids and NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc.

The DeKalb/Asgrow presents the Midwest Power Series and Midwest Sprint Touring Series main event pays $3,000 to win and $400 to start. There is additional money added through the field, including $200 for fast time and $100 for each heat race winner.

The NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc pays $800 to win and also has additional money added to the purse.

Thomas Kennedy owns a slim eight-point lead in the 360 track standings entering Saturday’s event, which is the final race before the 360 Nationals. Jack Dover ranks second in the championship standings with Lee Grosz 13 points behind Kennedy and Trey Starks 17 points out of the top spot.

Bill Johnson leads the Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids championship standings by 25 points over John Lambertz. Brandon Bosma is 26 points out of the lead and Colin Smith is 37 points behind Johnson.

Brandon Halverson has built a 35-point advantage over Alex Schriever in the NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc championship standings. Jake Kouba is 41 points behind Halverson with Johnny Parsons III 58 points out of the lead.

The pits open at 3 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps start at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $5 for students ages 13-years-old to 18-years-old. Children 12-years-old and younger get in free. Pit passes are $35 for adults and $20 for children 12-years-old and younger.

There will be numerous giveaways for the fans from Gillund Enterprises along with toys and candy for children. The original Justice Brothers No. 88 driven by Bob Hop will be on display.

Also, camping is available at the track.
