Dick Jordan, USAC’s tireless public/media relations man for over half a century, passed away Friday morning, August 9. He was 74 years old.
Jordan began his career with USAC in December of 1968. No individual has witnessed more USAC events than Jordan from his time as a child attending AAA and USAC racing events with his parents in the 1950s all the way until 2019.
Jordan worked extensively with the Badger Midget Series over the years, when Badger and USAC co-sanctioned exactly fifty midget events together, since 1970. Jordan was "front and center" at all events as both series staff worked efficiently together as one unit.
The Badger Midget Auto Racing Association extends it's deepest sympathy to his wife Susie, children, and grandchildren
Jordan is a member of National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame. Services will be held on Monday, August 12, at Conkle Funeral Home, located at 4925 W. 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Eastern with a celebration of life at 7 pm.
