Weekend Update for Jason Berg Racing

This weekend we kicked off the racing with a stop at the bullring in Grand Forks for the 1st of two nights of racing this weekend. It started off with a very high draw and started our weekend near the back of the heat race. The heat race did not go very well as we never made forward progress and actually bounced off the 4th turn wall halfway thru the race and thankfully did not get upside down again. Fortunately their was no significant damage to the car and we worked on a better setup for the feature. The feature we started a ways back in the field and basically all we did was maintain and actually got sent to the back once for spinning out and causing a caution. At that point it was basically self defense mode and just try and finish the race and load it in the trailer in one piece and be ready to race again Saturday night! We did have several friends an family in the stands that made the trip up to Grand Forks so very appreciative of them making the trip!! At least we are running the whole race unlike last year or so when we couldn't keep a chain on in Grand Forks and the features were really short!!
On Saturday night it was back to our home track for the #100 Buffalo River Race Park for Charism night with the #100 team!! Thanks to Nancy Kelly with Labor Masters, Sharon Stam with Doosan/Bobcat and the great staff at Charism we again hosted a group of kids to enjoy a night at the races!!! Last years event was so much fun and we looked to build on it this year and from the smiling faces i saw Saturday night i think it was another hit!!!
We started the evening off with the kids with a tour of the pits and an opportunity to meet many drivers from several classes and several female drivers much to the surprise of some of the young ladies with our Charisma group! I also want to thank the drivers that had cards and other items available and also took the time to let the kids take pictures in their cars and to visit with them when they came by. With many of them still needing to get their cars ready i am sincerely appreciative of the time you tooko to make these kids have an amazing evening at BRRP and hopefully the time you took makes future fans or racers!!
Oh and the highlight was the #100 won the heat race and finished a strong 2nd place in the feature to cap off a very fun evening and a tailgate picnic of taco in a bag that hot the spot before the races!!
Thanks again to Labor Masters for making this happen along with Sharon Stam for organizing the 2nd annual race night with JBR at BRRP!!!
