Saturday night, Andy Gregg will lead his Bret Ervin Racing team to the Antioch Speedway for the season opener, and debut of the new Golden State King of the West series.
“I’m very excited to get the King of the West season started,” said Gregg. “Dan Simpson and his entire staff have really put a lot of work into reviving 410 racing, and I am happy to be a part of it.”
After starting their season with the Lucas Oil ASCS National tour in February, the Bret Ervin Racing team has had to wait on the wrath of weather Mother Nature put on northern California to finally get back to the track.
“We got off to a nice start with the ASCS guys, and it has been a long wait to finally get back in the seat and race again,” said Gregg.
This weekends race kicks off the 2011 season that is sure to pack the stands with great anticipation to kick of the 410 c.i. season in Northern California, at the tight confines of Antioch Speedway, a track that Gregg is fond of.
“I really like Antioch, and am glad were kicking the season off there, and Im excited to see the huge crowd come out and support,” Gregg said. “I have had some success there in the past and hope to continue that for Brett and all my guys this weekend.”
