Cody Ledger worked on taking the lead of Saturday’s feature event at Park Jefferson Speedway for twelve circuits before he’d finally gain the top spot. He wouldn’t look back as he took his first win of 2019 with the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprint Series presented by Malvern Bank.
Tommy Barber was the leader of the opening 12 laps of the feature. The Brandon, South Dakota, driver rocketed to the lead and dominated several restarts to keep his #75 out front.
There were several restarts to the event. Notably, on lap three, Jack Dover flipped the #53 in turn three. However, he was able to continue on and restarted at the tail of the field.
Eight laps later, Dover was upside down again. This time, Dover, Jody Rosenboom, Trevor Smith and Brodie Tulloch all tangled in turn four. All calls were unable to continue but the drivers were okay.
At the finish, it was Ledger with Jason Martin in second. Barber was third with Dusty Ballenger and Seth Brahmer completing the top five.
MSTS competes again this coming weekend with a double header at Jackson Motorplex and I-90 Speedway.
