FAIRBURY ON SATURDAY NIGHT THE NEXT STOP FOR NATIONAL MIDGETS

FAIRBURY, ILL. (July 2, 2019) – For the fourth time in league history, the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets will take center stage at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Ill. this Saturday night, July 6.

Fresh off a Sunday showing at Lincoln Speedway where Christopher Bell reigned supreme, the National Midgets will keep the momentum rolling into a Saturday night showdown at Fairbury, a track known for creating unmatched excitement.

In three previous appearances at the Fairbury, Ill. quarter-mile, three different winners have broken into victory lane. Zach Daum of Pocahontas, Ill. topped POWRi’s inaugural visit to Fairbury on July 16, 2016 while Tanner Thorson of Minden, Nev. Won the June 1, 2017 event and Tucker Klaasmeyer of Paola, Kans. claimed the July 7, 2018 race.

With ten races completed in 2019, Logan Seavey of Sutter, Calif. remains the dominant force in the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League. Winning six of those races, Seavey has pulled ahead into command of the point standings over Tucker Klaasmeyer, Jesse Colwell, Jake Neuman and Zach Daum.

On Saturday at Fairbury, the pits will open at 12:00 PM with the drivers meeting slated for 5:15 PM followed by hot laps at 5:45 PM. Also racing alongside the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets will be the MOWA Sprint Car Series, along with late models and modifieds.

For fans unable to make it in attendance, you can watch a live broadcast of the event from the comfort of your home on www.speedshifttv.com. Fans who have purchased the VIP Subscription for $40/Month will have access to the pay-per-view event along with 30+ other races throughout July.
