Inside Line Promotions – OWASSO, Okla. (July 1, 2019) – Anticipation is high entering the 4th annual Midget Round Up this weekend.
The TBJ Promotions event was slated to be held during Memorial Day Weekend, but rain pushed the event back to the Fourth of July holiday weekend. That has allowed a new series – the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series – to come on board along with many new competitors who had an open weekend.
Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kan., hosts the action this Friday and Saturday. The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series and the POWRi Lucas Oil RMMRA Series are sanctioning the midget portion of the event. Winged ‘A’ Class micro sprints with the NOW600 Tel-Star Technologies Kansas Region will also compete both nights.
“We anticipate there will not only be a great car count, but the level of talent is going to be outstanding,” TBJ Promotions Founder Tony Bruce Jr. said. “We’ve been able to build the Midget Round Up year after year and I think this year will be our strongest event. The fans will really be in for a great show both nights.”
The front gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. each night.
Tickets are $20 for adults on Friday and $15 on Saturday. Children ages 12-years-old and younger get in free both nights.
