Justin Jacobsma etched his name into the MSTS record book Friday night with his first career win with the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series.
“I really got to thank my dad. It’s pretty cool, my son is here, this is special,” said Jacobsma as he climbed out of the car.
Jacobsma lost the lead for two circuits around Rapid Speedway. Cody Hansen made the most of Jacobsma’s struggles with traffic to take the lead on lap ten.
“I thought if I could keep pace, Cody would have the same problems I had,” said Jacobsma.
The driver of the #10J was correct. Jacobsma made a similar move in traffic to regain the top spot. He’d never look back.
Hansen was second ahead of Jody Rosenboom, Tommy Barber and Bill Boles in the top five.
Clinton Bruns claimed the Autoland Hard Charger Award.
