Kids Night This Saturday At CGS With Bike Giveaway; Karts On Friday June 7th

Cottage Grove, Oregon- Two events are on tap for Cottage Grove Speedway this weekend. CGS returns with the Kage Karts on Friday, June 7th. Saturday, the 8th, is Kids Night where Children (12 and Under) get into the races for FREE. There will be a massive bike giveaway during intermission. Classes on the card include 360 Sprints, Mohawk Metal IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, and Dwarf Cars.

On Friday for Karts the Pit Gates open at 3:00 PM and the Pit Meeting (with Hot Laps/Racing to follow) at 6:00. General Admission is FREE, Pit Passes $10.00, and Car/Driver Entry $35.00. On Saturday the Pit Gates open at 1:00 PM, Front Gates 3:30, and Time Trials at 5:30 with Racing beginning at 6:00. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults, Seniors/Juniors/Military $10.00, Youths (6-12) FREE, and Children (5 & Under) are FREE. CGS offers a Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) for $35.00, VIP Skybox Seating is $25.00 each, and Pit Passes are $30.00. The 360 Sprints will be battling over an enhanced purse this weekend. The winner will receive a handsome $1500.00 while the feature pays $200.00 to start. Jason Solwold has two wins to his name from last April during the Spring Fling and Justyn Cox won the lone night of the 2019 Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic.

In the Mohawk Metal IMCA Modifieds CGS has yet to see a repeat winner. Collen Winebarger, Derik Young, Jake Mayden, and Eric Ashley have just a single win to their names. In the IMCA Sport Mods, Matt Sanders is the only driver with two victories this season. Single trip visitors to the winner’s circle include Buddy McHargue, Jorddon Braaten, and David Schmidt. Finally, in the lone appearance of the year for the Dwarf Cars the driver crossing the wire first would be Danny Altom.
