Inside Line Promotions – NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 4, 2019) – Kraig Kinser is heading to Illinois, North Dakota and Minnesota this week for the next three World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races.

Kinser will compete on Tuesday at Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Ill., during the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown; on Friday at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., during the Northern Tour; and on Saturday at Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids, Minn.

“We’re going to three smaller tracks,” he said. “Granite City is probably the biggest, but it races like a short track. Hopefully we’ll start on a better foot than Nashville and have the chance for some good runs.”

Kinser tackled the inaugural Music City Outlaw Nationals at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway last weekend.

“I wish we qualified better,” he said. “To make both shows with a great crowd on hand was good. I look forward to it growing in years to come.”

Kinser qualified 18th quickest in his group on Friday. He then overcame a crash in a heat race and rallied from ninth to fifth place to lock into the main event. Kinser capped the night by placing 21st in the A Main.

Saturday’s show was also hampered for Kinser when he was involved in a crash for the second straight night. He timed in 15th quickest and placed fourth in a heat race before an incident in the main event relegated him to the rear of the field. He rebounded to finish 18th.

“Part of it was luck and staying out of wrecks gives you a good chance to run well,” he said. It’s a tough track and a lot of people were being aggressive because you had to get passing done early. It was a tough deal because you want to be patient, but at the same time you have to be aggressive.”

Kinser is tied for 10th in the championship standings entering this week’s action.
