Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (May 28, 2019) – A trio of Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team drivers finished in the top six Monday evening during the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series iRacing season finale hosted by Knoxville Raceway.
Adam Elby led the way with a runner-up result at the half-mile oval. It was his second top five of the season.
“I went in there the first corner and it felt like there was nothing there,” he said during a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “I knew if I could be consistent down in the middle, around the bottom, that we’d be able to hopefully hold a top-five position. A few laps into the feature we found something a few lanes off the bottom. I started on the Donny (Schatz) line and felt like I was picking some people off.”
James Edens rounded out the podium, giving him his eighth top five in the 10-race season. That guided him to a runner-up result in the championship standings.
Matthew McKinney hustled to a sixth-place run. Teammates Cole Cabre and Chase Cabre finished 12th and 19th, respectively.
Elby and Edens were also heat race winners.
