Inside Line Promotions – LAKE ODESSA, Mich. (May 21, 2019) – Robbie Price highlighted last weekend’s Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour doubleheader at I-96 Speedway with a 12th-place run on Friday.

“We hot lapped good, but in the heat race I was back to sixth going in the first corner,” he said. “I passed a couple of cars back. That cost us and put us pretty deep in a qualifier.”

A fifth-place finish in a heat race was followed by a seventh-place result in a qualifier. Price then finished second in a B Main to transfer into the main event.

“We made good strides in the B Main, but come time for the A Main we had the car too tight for running the curb,” he said. “I had to slide in underneath to catch it coming off. That scrubbed too much speed.”

Price was still able to rally from 19th to a 12th-place finish, which is his best result during the first handful of ASCS National Tour shows this year.

The weekend concluded on Saturday with Price placing fourth in a heat race and fifth in a qualifier to lock directly into the main event. Unfortunately, his night ended early.

“I got collected on the first lap,” he said. “That knocked the front end out. It tore a bunch of stuff up.”

Price wasn’t able to restart following the early incident. He was credited with a 22nd-place finish.

Next up for the team will be its debut at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., this Saturday and Sunday with the ASCS National Tour.

“I’m looking forward to getting there,” Price said. “I’m frustrated with our results the last couple of weeks. I consider myself capable of a top five and we’re not close to that so we’re going to dig deep this week and try to figure some things out.”
