NATIONAL SPRINT CAR MUSEUM’S ON-LINE STORE OFFERS VINTAGE SPRINT CAR PHOTOS FOR SALE

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (March 3, 2011) - The National Sprint Car Museum’s on-line store is now offering vintage sprint car photos for sale to the general public. To date, over one hundred photos from the donated collections of photographers Al Booton of central Iowa and Herb Zieman of northern Ohio have been scanned and are now available for purchase. Photos are being added everyday to the www.sprintcarstuff.com web site.

Museum curator Tom Schmeh said today, “For the past twenty-two years, we have received donations of photographic collections and we are now in the process of making them available to the general public. We are extremely grateful to photographers like Herb Zieman and Al Booton for donating their work to us. We will be printing their photos ‘as is’, meaning that they won’t be heavily edited or cropped, in two sizes (8”x10”, 11”x14”). On the web site, the photos will have the museum’s logo as a watermark, but obviously the printed images that will be sent out will not. We look forward to making more donated sprint car photographic collections, both color and black-and-white, available on the web site in the months and years to come.”

Those individuals interested in viewing the two collections are urged to go to https://www.sprintcarstuff.com/ProductSearch.aspx?catid=32 (Herb Zieman) and https://www.sprintcarstuff.com/ProductSearch.aspx?catid=33 (Al Booton), respectively. In addition, vintage black-and-white and color photos from Hall of Fame photographer John Mahoney are available in the museum store located in Knoxville. The non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is open seven days a week, year-round, and can be contacted by calling 641-842-6176.
