NOW600 National at I-30 Speedway Falls to Mother Nature

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 18, 2019) - The inaugural appearance by the NOW600 Lucas Oil Nationals Micros to the I-30 Speedway will have to be put on hold.

Due to worsening forecast, Tracey Clay with the I-30 Speedway has made the very tough decision to cancel tonight’s races due to severe weather threat this evening.

“With all the teams traveling near and far I just can’t let myself put these drivers in a bad spot.” “Our forecast is calling for extreme severe weather around 5 o’clock and I would feel absolutely terrible to get teams stuck in a severe storm.” commented Tracey Clay.

“We appreciate the early warning by I-30 officials.” said by NOW600 Series Founder and Director, Terry Mattox. “Both Tracey and I are looking at our schedules to see when we can make the event up.”

This event was scheduled to be the opening round of the $1,500 to win Restricted ‘A’ Class Triple Crown Challenge. Terry Mattox is looking at our National schedule and will post a new date for the Triple Crown.

Next up the NOW600 Lucas Oil National Micros will pair up with not one, not two but three NOW600 regional series next week as the touring titans head for Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kansas.

Stock Non-Wing, Winged A-Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class will all be in action at the Southwest Kansas oval.
