Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 14, 2019) – Kraig Kinser earned the Hard Charger Award last Friday at Eldora Speedway after he gained a dozen positions in the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series A Main.
“Getting the Hard Charger is always something to be happy about,” he said. “I was fortunate some holes opened up when I needed them to and it gave me a chance to get going really quick.”
Kinser qualified 13th quickest in his group and placed fifth in a heat race before securing the sixth-and-final transfer position into the main event. He continued to improve during the main event, charging from 24th to a 12th-place finish.
Saturday’s finale rained out.
Kinser and the World of Outlaws continue east this week to compete on Wednesday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., during the Gettysburg Clash presented by Drydene; on Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., during the Morgan Cup; and on Sunday at Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, N.Y., during the Empire State Challenge.
“It’s a tough couple of weeks with the amount of races and the competition,” he said. “You want to get started off good so we’re focused on running well Wednesday at Lincoln Speedway.”
Kinser posted a 25th-place outing at Lincoln Speedway last season. His best result at Williams Grove Speedway last year was 15th. He scored an 11th-place finish during his lone visit to Weedsport Speedway last season.
