For the first time in 2019, the stars and cars of the Summer Thunder Sprint Car Series will invade the 65-year-old Skagit Speedway on Saturday night with $2,000 on the line for the winner. Joining the Summer Thunder Sprint Car Series will be the rapidly growing Northwest Focus Midget Series as well as the Outlaw Tuners.
Fresh off of a win at the Yakima Dirt Track, three-time Summer Thunder Sprint Car Series champion Jason Solwold is looking to take home the win this Saturday night. Many drivers look to knock Solwold off the hot-streak. Logan Forler sits just 23 points behind Solwold, followed by Chris Schmelzle, Devon Borden and Garen Linder.
The Northwest Focus Midget Series looking to bring another big car count to Skagit Speedway. With more than 45 teams registered this year, this series is destined to bring excitement!
The Summer Thunder Sprint Car Series is a presentation of Here 2 Wire, DataPro Machining, E3 Spark Plugs, SpeedMart, Hoosier Tire, Highline Performance and Triple X Race Components. Gates open at 5:30pm with racing at 7:00pm on Saturday night.
