As the clock turns to May, officials at the Park Jefferson Speedway are hoping to get the 2019 racing season off the ground with the popular Z98 Night which is now slated as the IMCA opener for South Dakota racing. This Saturday a full six division program is slated featuring the Stevenson Hardwar IMCA Sprint Cars, Artworks Graphics IMCA Modifieds, J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Fox 620 IMCA Sport Compacts.
This Saturday night will also a see a special fundraiser for the victims of the spring flooding of the upper Midwest as the Park Jefferson Speedway is pleased to partner with the Salvation Army of the Siouxland. $1 from every general admission ticket sold will go to benefit the Salvation Army. In addition, a special 50/50 drawing will be held which will see the proceeds going to the Salvation Army. There will also be a donation bucket where fans can donate money directly to the Salvation Army with Salvation Army volunteers being on hand.
The pit gates will open at 4:30 pm with the general admission gate slated to open at 5pm. Hot laps will be set for 6:15 with racing slated to begin at 7pm. Adult tickets will be $13, seniors 65+ are $10 and children 6-16 are $3. Clubhouse passes are available for $12 at the souvenir stand and can be added to any ticket.
