Young Zach Zimmerly to sign autographs this Friday night at Golden State King of the West Sprints Autorama booth

Sacramento, CA – February 9, 2011…The youngest winner in the history of the Golden State 410 Sprint Car Series will be signing autographs on Friday at the Sacramento Autorama, as Zach Zimmerly will be at the King of the West Sprint Car Series booth from 5pm to 8pm.

Last season Zimmerly captured the annual Tribute to Gary Patterson at Chico’s Silver Dollar Speedway on June 11, and in doing so, became the youngest driver to win a Golden State 410 Series feature at 16-years and one-month old.

The Vancouver, Washington gasser also had a strong outing during last year’s Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup at the Skagit Speedway, finishing runner-up on all three-nights of the $25,000-to-win event. Despite missing a handful of races “Super Z” last year finished seventh in the final Golden State Series standings.

Zimmerly will join Elk Grove’s Kyle Larson at the Golden State King of the West Sprints booth on Friday night, pairing the youngest Golden State champion with the youngest main event winner. More information on 16-year-old Zach Zimmerly can be found at http://www.zachzimmerly.com

The KWS booth at the Sacramento Autorama will be part of a Northern California motorsports display that also includes Calistoga Speedway, which will feature the famed Walt Ross No. 56 Special on hand. In addition to that, USAC will also have a booth as part of the display and will have Tony Hunt’s Western States championship winning car in attendance.

The Sacramento Autorama runs this Friday through Sunday February 11-13 and the Golden State King of the West Sprints will have schedules available, along with T-shirts and Hats for sale at the booth. The Sacramento Autorama is now in its 61st year and is “The Kustom Capital of the World” and boasts being home to one of longest running indoor car shows in the world. The Autorama is recognized as the premiere custom car show on the West Coast. The Show will feature over 450 of the finest custom cars, hot rods, classics, motorcycles and specialty vehicles from around the county.
