On Wednesday February 9, 2011, Andy Gregg and his Bret Ervin Racing team are set to open up their 2011 campaign at the Groppetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California as they go to battle with the Lucas Oil ASCS National tour.
“We are very excited to get back to work at the racetrack, and are pumped to be heading to the California debut of the ASCS National tour,” said Gregg. “We ended the season racing against those guys last year so I am antsy to get back racing against them again.”
As the season opens, Bret Ervin Racing will also be debut some changes as well as welcoming aboard some new sponsors for the race season.
Bret Ervin Racing is pleased to welcome Wheel Vintiques, College Cyclery and the Hot Rod Shop to the team, and are very excited to debut the partnership in front of what proves to be a capacity crowd at the racy 1/3 mile oval in Central California.
Also new for 2011 will be the use of Eagle Chassis. The past two seasons has seen the Seven Industries backed #53 utilize Maxim Chassis, but after some trips over the winter the team has decided to switch to the revamped Eagle Chassis.
For “360” events the team will continue to utilize Borello Engines, and for their “410” campaign they will bolt in Don Ott power plants.
“We are very excited with the new things we are rolling out for 2011,” said Bret Ervin. “We have some great new partners coming on board with our awesome current partners and we are very excited to get this season underway.”
Bret Ervin Racing thanks Seven Industries, Ervin Sales Group, BR Motorsports, King Racing Products, GUTS, Meyers Motorsports, and Sellers Race Wings for their continued support for the upcoming season.
Aside from racing in Tulare on February 9, the team will also follow the Lucas Oil ASCS National tour down the road to Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway in Hanford, California for an event on Saturday February 12, 2011.
