Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (April 16, 2019) – James Edens and Adam Elby guided the Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team to a pair of top-five finishes on Monday evening at Eldora Speedway during Round 4 of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season on iRacing.
Edens, who entered the event ranked second in the championship standings, continued his consistent start to the season as he won a heat race before placing fourth in the main event. Edens used a late-race restart to move into the runner-up position, but got crossed up in turn four on the final lap as he was narrowly edged out for a spot on the podium.
Elby was also victorious during heat race action, holding off Swindell SpeedLab teammate Cole Cabre by one thousandth of a second during arguably the closest finish in series history. Elby rounded out the night with a fifth-place run in the A Main.
Cabre finished with an eighth-place outing in the main event and Matthew McKinney rallied for a 12th-place finish after winning the B Main.
The midpoint of the season arrives next Monday as the series returns to Volusia Speedway Park.
