26 Promotions – Casa Grande, AZ – (April 15, 2019) – While many racers around the nation are just getting their seasons going this week, Arizona’s Colton Hardy has been in full swing for months racing in a variety of different cars. Consistency has paid off for the young man as he was able to again pull off the victory at Central Arizona Speedway in the Micro Sprint division while also finishing on the podium in his ASCS Southwest Region Sprint Car.

The night of double duty would first see Hardy aboard his No. 41 Micro Sprint for heat race action where he picked up the victory from the second starting position, earning him the crown for high-point driver and placing him in the sixth starting position for the feature event.

Hardy moved up to the third position quickly after the drop of the green flag before cars would slow for a caution around the halfway point. On the restart, Hardy made a move to the inside to take away the second position in turns three and four. A few laps later, Hardy would stalk and pass the leader in route to the victory for the Power 600 Series.

“The car was good all night,” said Hardy. “I’m really happy to be having such a strong car so early in the year and hopefully it continues throughout the rest of the season.”

Next on tap for Hardy was a chance to get back behind the wheel of the No. 74 winged sprint car in the ASCS Southwest Region.

The heat race was good enough for a third-place finish, giving Hardy a chance to make the redraw for the feature, where he would land himself on the inside of the third row. Hardy was meticulous during the race and found himself sitting in second with eight laps to go. It seemed as if Hardy had one last chance on the final lap but lapped traffic would force Hardy to settle for the second-place finish.

“All and all it was a pretty good night,” said Hardy. “We had a good car in the feature, just couldn’t make moves like we wanted. We had a chance for a slider in turn three and four for the win coming to the checkered but I kind of got held up by a lapped car, so we ran second. We were able to work out some more bugs and got more information on what the car and motor likes. With running double duty, I can’t thank everyone enough for the help making sure both cars were ready to race. I couldn’t do it without them.”

You will be able to see Colton Hardy back in action at Canyon Speedway Park in his No. 41 Micro Sprint on Saturday, April 20th.

Colton Hardy would like to thank A & C Remodeling, NPS Race Engines, Hyper Racing, Engler Machine & Tools, Diamond Mechanical, CSI Shocks, Bandit Racing, TWS Electric, Asphalt Restoration, Advantage Glass & Storefront, JFR, Highline Clothing Co., Marks Nuts, Bolts, & Surplus, ARC Powdercoat, and TJ Forged Wheels for their support.
