Inside Line Promotions – SIX NATIONS, Ontario, Canada (April 16, 2019) – Alex Hill is looking forward to making her first 410ci winged sprint car start since the summer of 2017 this Friday at Lernerville Speedway during the track’s season opener.

“I’m excited to get back in a 410 again,” she said. “I think I’ve raced a 410 about three or four times before, but it’s been two years since the last time.”

Hill showed speed in that appearance in 2017 with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series at her home track of Ohsweken Speedway. She qualified seventh quickest in her qualifying group of 19 cars and ran in a transfer spot in the Last Chance Showdown before eventually withdrawing from the race.

“The car felt pretty good at that race,” she said. “But Ohsweken is the track where I have the most experience and it’s the only place I’ve raced a 410. I’ve never seen Lernerville.”

The Hill’s Racing Team chose to race a 410 at Lernerville Speedway because of the team’s schedule and to expand Hill’s driving skills.

“We want to run some 410 races, but it’s difficult to fit them in since we’re running the ASCS National Tour,” she said. “ASCS has this weekend off and Lernerville is about six and a half hours from home so I can fly home (from school in Los Angeles) and ride to the track from there.

“We’d prefer to run the 410 at a track we’re more familiar with, like Ohsweken. But they aren’t having any 410 races this year.”

Hill will be looking to run as many competitive laps as possible.

“Our goal will be to get a lot of good laps in and make the A Main,” she said. “I think that running a lot of 410 laps will make me more comfortable in a 360.”
The team has no definite plans to race the 410 again this year, but that’s subject to change.

“We’re not planning to race it again since we have a pretty full schedule,” she said. “But that could change if there are rainouts and races are rescheduled.”
