I-80 Speedway Greenwood, Nebraska (April 6, 2019)—The Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprint Series presented by Malvern Bank returned to the 4/10 mile facility in Greenwood, Nebraska for night #2 of the Spring Meltdown. Tonights feature paid $2500 to the winner. Twenty-seven cars checked into the pits making for three heat races, a B feature and then the main event.

The Saldana Racing Products pole winner, Jack Dover, brought the field to the green flag with Seth Brahmer on his outside. Dover got a great start and took the low lane in turn 1 leading lap #1. The battle for third ensued between Terry McCarl and Clint Garner for several laps but McCarl gathered the momentum and jumped to a 5 car advantage over Garner for third place. Meanwhile after 5 laps Dover extended his lead by half a straightaway and ran into lap traffic on lap #8. After 9 laps the top five were Dover, Brahmer, McCarl, Garner, and Ryan Roberts. Dover sliced and diced traffic extending a full straightaway lead over Brahmer and lap traffic kept him from challenging Dover. A great battle between McCarl and Justin Henderson kept the excitement going on through several laps leaving 10 laps remaining. With a half a lap lead, Dover put half the field a lap down but a spin by Lee Grosz, in turn 2, brought out the yellow leaving 8 laps left. The top 5 were Dover, Henderson, McCarl, Brahmer, and Roberts.

Dover brought the field to green flag leaving the rest of the field in the dust extending his lead to a straightaway over second running Justin Henderson. With 2 laps left, something broke on Seth Brahmer putting him into the turn 3 wall bringing out the yellow for the second time.

On the restart, Dover took to the high side and Henderson went low but Dover had the momentum coming off turn two and gathered a 4 car lead going down the backstretch. With the lead, Dover was able to hang on and take the win plus $2500.
