Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (April 3, 2019) – The Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team captured a marquee feature victory earlier this week on iRacing.
James Edens swept the night by setting quick time during qualifying and winning both a heat race and the main event on Monday evening during the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series show at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.
Edens led the distance of the 30-lap main event that featured some of the top online racers in the country.
“We put in some extra work this week,” he said during a post-race interview. “We had to build pretty much an all-new setup. Kevin (Swindell) helped out a lot this week and we found some things that made the car, it was very good for me. (We put in) a little extra effort and it paid off.”
Edens highlighted a stout outing for the Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team, which had three drivers in the top 10. Chase Cabre finished seventh and Cole Cabre ended ninth. Adam Elby placed 12th.
“We put in a couple hundred laps more this week than last week,” Edens said. “The big thing was getting used to the feel of the new setup. Hopefully it carries over to the next couple of tracks and we’ll see what happens.”
The next World of Outlaws event is Monday at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio.
