STEVE SINCLAIR OF THE INTERSTATE RACING ASSOCIATION (IRA) NAMED 2010 RECIPIENT OF “OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE SPORT AWARD” BY NORTH AMERICAN

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (January 11, 2011) - Steve Sinclair, president of the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) Outlaw Sprints, has been named the recipient of the 2010 “Outstanding Contribution to the Sport Award” by all three voting panels of the North American Sprint Car Poll. According to National Sprint Car Museum executive director Bob Baker, “The poll’s Outstanding Contribution Award is the museum foundation’s highest honor for current achievers in the sport, as it is voted on by industry insiders from the 360-, 410-cubic-inch, and non-winged sprint car divisions. For Steve Sinclair to earn this award, it speaks to the level of respect that people in our entire industry have for him capably running a regional winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car series in these tough economic times.”

Based in McHenry, Illinois, Sinclair was originally part of the successful S-L-S promotional team, before stepping down to focus on the Bumper to Bumper-sponsored IRA Outlaw Sprints. The Interstate Racing Association has a rich history and proud heritage in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, but through Steve’s strong leadership it has grown to include many additional races in northern Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
