OCRS Return Pushed To May As Forecast Turns Wet and Cold

Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (March 28, 2019) Fans of the Oil Capital Racing Series will have to wait a little longer for the series return to Creek County Speedway. Watching the forecast for this weekend, track and series officials have made the decision to postpone the series return to Friday, May 24, 2019.

“We’ve got near 100% chance of rain starting tonight and going all the way through Friday and possibly into Saturday morning, plus a low of 32 degrees on Saturday night. As bad as I want to race, and the fans want to have races, that’s not conditions anyone wants to go watch a race in,” commented Creek County Speedway promoter, Steve Hahn.

Friday, May 24 Grandstand Admission is $15 with kids 10 and under get in the grandstands for free. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. with racing at 7:30 P.M. (CT). Additional classes are still in the works.
