Inside Line Promotions – SIX NATIONS, Ontario, Canada (March 25, 2019) – With a current lull in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour schedule, Alex Hill is planning to get some competition in this weekend.

Hill and her Hill’s Racing Team are scheduled to compete this Friday and Saturday at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., during a doubleheader that is sanctioned by the ASCS Mid-South Region, ASCS Lone Star Region and ASCS Sooner Region.

The cancellation of the Spring Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, in mid-March places more emphasis on her getting some track time, even if it isn’t with the national series.

“We try to race a lot and avoid any long layoffs if we can help it,” she said. “We haven’t raced since February in Florida and our next race after I-30 isn’t scheduled until April 19 in a 410 at Lernerville so it would be really nice to get some laps in this weekend. I’d rather not have my next race be in a 410 without racing at all for a couple of months if possible.”

More experience at I-30 Speedway is welcomed as well.

“I-30 is a track where it’s always good for us to run,” she said. “We’ve had some speed there in the past, but there are things we need to work on, too. It’s nice to be able to work on things there when it’s not a points race. It’s a track where we’ll be racing at probably a couple of times later this year. Smaller tracks are the ones that I probably need more improvement on so laps at I-30 certainly wouldn’t hurt. I’m excited to return to the track and we’re hoping that the weather will cooperate this weekend.”

Hill made three starts at I-30 Speedway last season. Her best result was her most recent one, which featured a fourth-place finish in a B Main during the famed Short Track Nationals.
