Inside Line Promotions – BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (Feb. 26, 2019) – Greg Wilson and his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Off Road sponsored team are venturing west.
Wilson will spend the majority of the next month competing in World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races prior to returning to the middle of the country in mid-March.
The action begins this Wednesday and Thursday at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas during the FVP Platinum Battery presented by Star Nursery. Wilson posted his career-best result at the half-mile track in 2017.
“I wish we would have got to race last weekend,” he said. “I was hoping to get one race in to get some laps. I’m interested to see how our motor program fares with HP Engines. We worked hard on it over the winter. Las Vegas is a big track and there will be tough competition.”
Wilson was slated to compete with the Outlaws last weekend in Texas, but rain washed out races on Friday at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige and Saturday at LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore.
Instead he made the most of an opportunity to spend the weekend with his family as they visited the Fort Worth Stockyards before taking in a rodeo.
“We’ve been so busy at home it was nice to get some family time,” he said. “We’ve been to the stockyards before. This time the rain moved out on Saturday and the weather was awesome. We were able to be there when a lot of stuff was going on and they had a rodeo that night. It was something different we normally wouldn’t do because racing usually overlaps.”
