Inside Line Promotions – COBBLE HILL, B.C., Canada (Feb. 18, 2019) – Robbie Price is returning to the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour as a full-time competitor for the second straight year.
Unfortunately, his bid to run the full season ended early last season. This time Price will pilot his family owned No. 21p with the national 360ci winged sprint car series that races throughout states between Washington to Pennsylvania.
“I hate how last year ended,” he said. “I’d have a lot of regret if I don’t run the whole thing. I don’t want to look back 10 years from now and wish I made it the whole deal.”
The ASCS National Tour season kicks off March 15-16 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, during the 46th annual ASCS Spring Nationals. However, Price is slated to open his year next week during the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series visit to The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas on Feb. 27-28.
“I’m going to run the 410 as much as I can and fill in wherever I can,” he said.
Price estimated he will race in the 410 division at approximately 20-to-25 shows, including all World of Outlaws events on the West Coast between the Las Vegas races and the start of the ASCS National Tour season.
Price competed in the first 10 ASCS National Tour races last year and in three additional races, making 13 starts in 36 races that were held. His best result was a career-best third-place run at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash.
“I think it improved my driving style a lot, adapting to different tracks,” he said. “It gave me an idea of what the ASCS National Tour races on. It made me learn a lot about racing itself and racing as a business.”
