Hi gang, Hot Rod here with a bunch of news items that I would like to bring to you. Let's just call it another random edition of, "Hot Laps with Hot Rod!"
The 2019 racing schedule is set and ready for release. Our Paramount Racing Series will be featured each night, with some exceptions. The Paramount Racing Series includes IMCA Racesaver Sprint Cars, Late Model Street Stocks, USRA B-Modifieds and USRA Hobby Stocks. We will also have five nights that will feature the Tri-State Late Model Series and three nights of the Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 Sprints.
The 2019 campaign will begin our Paramount Racing Series beginning on Saturday, May 11th and will continue on May 18th and May 25th.
The month of June will be a "SPECIAL" month with action beginning June 8th. That night will be the premier of the Property Solutions of America MSTS 360 sprint cars, along with the Racesaver sprints, USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks (LMSS will have the night off). June 15th will bring in the first appearance of the Tri-State Late Model series, along with the Paramount Racing Series. June 15th will also mark "Hartford and Humboldt Night" with FREE admission into the grandstands for residents of those communities (proper ID is required). June 22nd will bring B-Mod fans their special night, as I-90 Speedway will present "Modified Madness" along with the Paramount Racing Series. The month of June will conclude with the Tri-State Late Model series joining Late Model Street Stocks, USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks (Racesaver sprints will have the night off.)
July will begin with fireworks on and off the track, as I-90 Speedway presents a big two-day show on Friday and Saturday, July 5th and 6th. The Paramount Racing Series will be joined by the Tri-State Late Models on Friday night, then Saturday night, the Paramount Racing Series will be accompanied by the Property Solutions of America MSTS 360 sprint cars and a huge fireworks display following the show. With no other tracks racing within a 100 mile radius of Sioux Falls, this will be a BIG weekend so make plans early. Following a Saturday night off on July 13th, I-90 will bring the Property Solutions of America MSTS 360 sprints in on July 20th along with the Paramount Racing Series, then July 27th, I-90 will present the annual "Hobby Stock Nationals" and the Paramount Racing Series.
August 3rd and August 17th will feature the I-90 Speedway Paramount Racing Series both nights as August 10th will be a night off in honor of the 59th Annual Knoxville Nationals. August 24th will be a special night as the Paramount Racing Series will be highlighted by the Late Model Street Stock "Old Timers Race". Relive some of the best memories of years gone by as some of the legends of the LMSS class will buckle up and battle on the high banks of Hartford. This is SURE to be a very entertaining event. The month of August will conclude with a Labor Day weekend night of fun, as the Tri-State Late Models invade I-90 one final time on the 31st with LMSS, USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks. Racesaver sprint cars will have the night off in honor of the annual IMCA Nationals that weekend.
Finally, the 2019 season will culminate with Season Championship Night with all four classes of the Paramount Racing Series crowning their champions.

With the Tri-State Late Model series featured five times this season, I-90 Speedway is thrilled to read the announcement by the series of a rule change that will allow WISSOTA Late Models to run with the Tri-State drivers to bring the car count even higher. Finally, as this session of "Hot Laps with Hot Rod" winds down, I-90 is pleased to announced a special event on July 20th, in conjunction with the MSTS 360 sprint car special. The speedway is proud to present a food drive called "Horsepower for Hunger" night. I-90 Speedway is partnering with Feeding South Dakota to present this unique food drive. The way it works is for each non-perishable food item people brought for donation, they received a numbered ticket. If someone brings 10 tickets, they get 10 numbered tickets, etc. Then at intermission, we will draw for cash, South Dakota Lottery tickets and prizes that would be donated by individuals, local and regional businesses, race teams, etc. with all the food being donated to Feeding South Dakota.
Feeding South Dakota President and CEO Matt Gassen, along with representative Megan Myers are thrilled with the partnership. "We are very excited to partner with I-90 Speedway for this event. Hunger does not have a holiday," said Myers in a phone conversation. "We can't wait!"
