Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (December 18, 2018) After being absorbed into the ASCS Red River Region at the close of the 2014 season, the ASCS Lone Star Region will make its return in 2019 with a run of 17 dates on the preliminary schedule.
Focused primarily around North Texas, the ASCS Lone Star Region will venture across state lines to Arkansas and Oklahoma for special co-sanctioned events with the ASCS Mid-South and Sooner Regions.
Kicking the season off at the 46th Devil’s Bowl Spring Nationals with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com, the series will return to the famed half-mile three more times with stops in May and October.
Among tracks that will see action more than once, Rose Bowl Speedway in Winona, Texas and Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth join that list. Outside the State of Texas, I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. will see a three-way battle for regional supremacy with the ASCS Lone Star, Mid-South, and Sooner Regions all going head-to-head on March 29 and March 30.
Taking single dates in 2019, Abilene Speedway returns to the schedule with Heart O’ Texas Speedway also joining the list. Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas and Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas make up the run of Texas ovals. The season’s lone trip to Oklahoma lands at Lawton Speedway.
